Who we are
Falcon Scott Productions creates distinctive sports podcasts that examine the sports landscape from new inquisitive perspectives. We believe thoughtful, genuine questions hold more value than strong opinions, and we build experiences where the audience gets to join us on a journey rather than be backed into a conclusion.
Naturally, we named our company after a famous British explorer from the turn of the century: R. Falcon Scott, a Captain in the Royal Navy who made two trips to Antarctica.
On the first, Scott became one of the first humans to step foot on the Polar Plateau. On the second, he died. Since his death on Trip #2, Scott’s legacy has bounced between “valorous hero” and “ill-prepared buffoon” and back again.
As digital media veterans, we embrace the intrepidness of Scott’s ambition to seek the unknown, and we’re also fascinated by the interpretative arc of his final journey. What does it mean about the world when one man can go from fame to infamy to something in the middle, all long after his demise?
